Art from Abroad | Where to buy Prints

My trips to Canada often seem few and far between:

So if you’d like to buy a print when I’m not around, or from another part of the world, it’s now possible! My art prints are available online.

Heron I

This print of the painting “Heron I”, is one of my most popular. It’s inspired by the majestic heron that often flew past my window, from it’s home in the pond, toward a river lined with hundred year old eucalyptus trees.

When I showed the original, in China, where I was living at the time, a woman took it off the gallery wall, hugged it tight, then bought it.

I’m amazed how many people have connected with this heron, and how, for each one, it brings back beautiful memories.

The size of the print is 5″ by 7″ and it comes in a white mat that fits an 8″ by 10″ frame. It makes a lovely gift package.

My Ko-fi Shop

After much research, I decided to set up my shop on Ko-fi, a website for creators who are getting started with online sales. It seems like a good fit for now.

It’s easy to navigate and has a nice look.

The idea behind Ko-fi, is that you can support new creators to help them get going. You may notice some features such as:

Ko-fi offers you the option to contribute a bit extra, when you make your purchase. This is why you see a “+” sign, after the price.

You also have the option to make a donation, if you connect with my work and you’d like to help me out as an artist. This is separate from making a purchase. If you click on the “About” Tab, you can contribute one time or monthly, to help cover costs as I explore Asia and ‘Paint Life With Hope’.

The ‘Shop’ tab is where my link will take you, and that’s where you can buy prints.

The one downside to Ko-fi is that it only displays prices in Canadian dollars. If you’re shopping from another part of the world, it will convert your cost at checkout.

If people enjoy purchasing my prints and I’m making regular sales, I’ll look into setting up a shop that displays different currencies. But at this point, I think Ko-fi is a great way for me to offer this service to you.

What do you think? I’d love to hear in the comments below.
